I am deep into the busy season of my life and I’m constantly being asked how I manage it “all”. The simplest answer is that I don’t! If I could relay any message to new moms, it would be that you cannot do it all. What?! You can’t? Nope! I am not a “super mom” but I am a boss mom. The most well put together mamas I know understand the importance of delegating tasks. With that in mind, I decided to give the kid(s) a few chores…
Zoe (3) has a pretty basic chore list considering she’s just a toddler:
-Make your bed.
-Feed the dog.
-Put your toys away (if anyone figures out the secret to this one please let me know lol).
James (9) does all of the above, along with taking out the trash and putting away his laundry. He is now responsible for kitchen clean up after dinner as well, this includes:
-Loading the dishwasher
-Wiping off the table and counters
-Sweeping under the table
Sometimes we use our cleaning time to talk about their day and others we have cleaning dance parties. For the most part they really seem to enjoy helping me clean up and that really helps keep my #momguilt at bay.
This is where I tell you that even though we’ve been in our house for almost four years, I can count the number of times I’ve used my dishwasher on one had. Growing up my mom never allowed us to use it and old habits truly die hard. On top of that, the few times I used it in the past I wasn’t satisfied with the results. That was until I tried the new Cascade pure essentials. It’s simplified formula is infused with bio-based ingredients, and I can rely on it to get my dishes clean every time.
If you’d like to give them a try, from now through May 25th, receive $1 off any Cascade pure essentials item (bag or tub) with this online coupon on Kroger.com.
While still adjusting to being a mother of 3, working full-time with James traveling and building my brand, I don’t want to feel like my house is being turned upside down between our cleaning appointments. Making cleanliness a family effort has lifted a huge weight off of my shoulders. #momwin Have you introduced your kids to chores? If you would like a good chore chart to keep them accountable, here’s the one we use.
Happy Cleaning!
