Hey Mama and welcome to the circus, I mean life as a work at home mom. There’s no right or wrong to what works for you and your littles but the key is trying to keep them on a schedule. Here’s an what our homeschool schedule typically looks with my toddler & preschooler:
I get the bulk of my own work done in the morning before they wake up and during nap time; keep in mind that I do not work a traditional 9-5. I also complete small tasks during independent play. For our learning videos we are very fond of the Preschool Prep Collection.
Having little James home with us the next few weeks is going to require a bit of adjusting. Of course his schedule will require more learning time. Here’s the homeschool schedule that we’re going to use for him:
Little James isn’t normally home schooled so a good portion of his work came home in packets and workbooks from his school. We use other workbooks like these as well. As for online resources that we use for him are ReadingIQ.com, AdventureAcademy.com, and RevolutionMath.com; we use ABCmouse.com for my preschooler as well.
If all else fails remember to get some time outside in the sun. It’ll help keep everyone from getting “cabin fever”. Are you home with your kiddos due to the corona virus this week? How are you adjusting to your new normal?
Great content! I love this idea. Gotta create structure to keep things together
I love this post Tina! Unfortunately, I still have to physically report to work and wish I had this time to at least work from home, but I will definitely pass along some of these resources to my husband who does work from home and is taking in all the responsibilities of caring for the kids while I’m working.
